Scott Spencer - A Ship Made of Paper: A Novel

Reread. A Ship Made of Paper: A Novel by Scott Spencer (2003)
Length: 352 pages
Genre: Contemporary Fiction
Originally Read: 9 August 2013
Reread Finished: 9 December 2014
Where did it come from? Originally from a Library Book Sale, then from my "posted" shelf.

Although I acquired this book from a Library Book Sale that Mareena and I went to in October of 2007, I actually read it for the first time in August of 2013 - from August 6th to August 9th, 2013. I had just finished reading Scott Spencer's Preservation Hall and was just putting the book on my "posted" shelf, thinking that I would reread A Ship Made of Paper: A Novel sometime in the very near future. The next day I went looking for the book, thinking that it would actually take me several days to find it. Boy, was I mistaken! - I laid my hand on it right away; it almost seemed like rereading A Ship Made of Paper: A Novel by Scott Spencer was meant to be.

I reread A Ship Made of Paper: A Novel by Scott Spencer in December of 2014. It only took me three days to read - from December 6th to December 9th, 2014. I've since reposted this book on all the swapping sites that we belong to, so perhaps someone else will want to read it.

Lisa Gardner - Live to Tell

Reread. Live to Tell by Lisa Gardner (2010)
The Detective D. D. Warren Series Book 4
Length: 435 pages
Genre: Contemporary Mystery
Originally Read: 31 July 2012
Reread Finished: 29 November 2014
Where did it come from? Originally from a Library Book Sale, then I received a paperback copy from my mailman's wife.

So, having bought this book as a hardcover copy from a Library Book Sale that Mareena and I went to in July of 2012, I read it for the first time in July of 2012 - July 28th to July 31st, 2012. I gave away my hardcover copy of Live to Tell on August 21, 2012. I received the paperback copy of this book on September 7, 2014 from my mailman's wife who was planning on getting rid of between 60 to 70 books.

I reread Live to Tell by Lisa Gardner in November of 2014. It only took me two days to read - from November 27th to November 29th, 2014. I've posted this book on all the swapping sites that we belong to, so perhaps someone else will want to read it.

Genre: Non-Fiction
Originally Read: 29 February 2012

So, having bought this book from a Library Book Sale that Mareena and I went to in June of 2009, I read it for the first time in February of 2010 - February 27th to February 29th, 2012. I was just adding several more books to my "posted shelf" - where I keep all the books that we hope to swap on the several swapping sites that we belong to - when I noticed Now You Know by Kitty Dukakis and Jane Scovell and decided to refresh my memory about Kitty Dukakis' life. My reread of this book took place over three days in October 2014 - from October 20th to October 23rd, 2014.

Susan R. Sloan - Guilt by Association

Reread. Guilt by Association by Susan R. Sloan (1995)
Length: 529 pages
Genre: Contemporary Mystery
Originally Read: 23 June 2013
Reread Finished: 4 August 2014
Where did it come from? Originally from Bookmooch, then from my "posted" shelf.

I hadn't read this book in roughly a year and was actually re-cataloging all the books on my "posted" shelf when I noticed it again. Of course, I had forgotten most of the plot of this book, despite Mareena telling me that I'd read it in June of 2013. My first reading of the book was from June 20th, 2013 to June 23rd, 2013, and it took me three days to read this book. The reread took me five days - from July 31st, 2014 to August 4th, 2014!

It was still a very good book, to my mind, but this second time around, the plot seemed just a little far-fetched - at least to me. I still thoroughly enjoyed the story, though.

The first reading was perhaps fifteen or twenty years ago, the second was from July 1st to July 5th, 2011, and my third reading of this book was from February 7th to February 13th, 2014. I'm going to put this book on several swapping sites to see if someone else might like to read it.

Jill Ireland - Life Lines

Re-read. Life Lines by Jill Ireland (1989)
Length: 358 pages
Genre: Non-Fiction
Originally Read: 20 March 2010
Re-read Finished: 3 May 2013
Where did it come from? Originally from a Library Book Sale, then from my "posted" shelf.

I hadn't read this book in a little over three years, and felt that I needed to refresh my memory about Jill Ireland's life and her struggles. I have to admit that rereading this book was not as good as the first time. This was still a very good book, just a little more repetitive than I remember.

Rosamunde Pilcher - The Day of the Storm

Re-read. The Day of the Storm by Rosamunde Pilcher (1975)
Length: 264 pages
Genre: Contemporary Fiction
Originally Read: 23 July 2010
Re-read Finished: 19 March 2013
Where did it come from? Originally from Bookmooch, although I never realized that my friend Noelene had also given me a copy in April of 2010 in a box of about 25-30 books before her wedding.

I hadn't read this book in over two years, so I decided that a reread was definitely in order. This book came to me from my friend Noelene, who was going to be getting married on March 17, 2011, and she had to downsize in order to move in with her new husband. This book was one of about 25 or 30 books that Noelene gave me. She is happily married to her husband Dave now for two years! :)

I must say that this was a fast and easy read for me - a sweet story that took me a day to reread. I can now post this book and send it off to someone else to enjoy.
